Optical/Opto-Mechanical Engineer
Holographix is seeking a self-motivated Optical or Opto-Mechanical Engineer interested in working in the challenging, fast-paced environment of our expanding high technology company. In this position, the engineer will play a key role in our heads-up display (HUD) and helmet mounted display (HMD) programs specifically in the area of diffraction grating-based waveguide development.
Daily responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Working as part of an engineering team on customer-driven engineering projects.
- Designing and building out custom alignment, test, and measurement tooling and systems.
- Designing and building out custom optical and mechanical tooling and fixturing to support projects.
- Developing and implementing engineering processes.
- Performing measurements of optical components and assemblies.
Qualifications:
- BS degree in Science (Optics, Physics, or Mechanical Engineering preferred).
- 5 or more years of relevant experience.
- Experience with optical systems and measurement equipment.
- Hands-on experience with optical components.
- Ability to read and create drawings using AutoCAD (and/or Solidworks) software desired but not mandatory.
- Ability to operate interferometer, spectrophotometer, SEM equipment etc. desired but not mandatory.

Optical Technician
Holographix is searching for a motivated optical technician interested in getting in on the bottom floor of a growing company. Responsibilities include cleaning, coating, testing, and packaging of optics as well as other production related work. Some hands-on experience in the optics field would be desirable. However, Holographix is willing to train the right individual.
