Holographic Laboratories
Holographix' custom-designed recording labs are remote computer controlled, removing the human presence that can cause vibrations and thermal variations that adversely affect the quality of the recording process. To minimize vibrations from external disturbances, the laboratories incorporate dry sand and concrete buffers to deaden vibration and the 25-ton concrete floors of the labs are isolated even further by pneumatic pylons. These features along with active fringe stabilization incorporated into the recording geometry create the stable environment necessary to produce repeatable master holographic gratings.
Master Holographic Gratings
Since the Company's inception more than 15 years ago, master holographic gratings have been recorded for use in the most demanding applications. One example is in the metrology industry where a manufacturer of high-resolution non-contact inspection measurement devices, Beta LaserMike relies on multifaceted transmission grating discs manufactured at our facility to perform the focusing and optical scanning functions of the system. Each disc consists of 22 individual grating facets, each of which must perform within a tightly toleranced band of specifications in order for the system to meet customer requirements.
